Schedule: Monday to Friday | First Shift 5:00 AM – 11:30 PM
(1st shift role with availability to support 2nd shift as needed)
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Pay Rate Starting at: $53.26 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite

Role Summary

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Manufacturing Engineer to support a high-profile executive transport aircraft program. In this role, you will play a critical part in translating design into production reality, ensuring build plans are executable, risks are mitigated, and aircraft quality and performance meet the highest standards.

What You’ll Do

• Create and refine aircraft zonal build plans, mitigating risks and developing sequenced execution strategies

• Lead committed and design change build implementation, assessing impacts and enabling producibility solutions

• Serve as a technical advisor and consultant, driving stakeholder engagement across engineering, production, and support teams

• Act as an integrator for the overall health and condition of the aircraft, bridging design, build plans, and the finished product

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement through data analysis and process optimization

• Support build integration processes and milestone execution

• Lead cross-functional collaboration across affected commodities and functional organizations

• Participate in design and technical review meetings, providing build impact assessments and recommendations

• Compile and coordinate impact assessment inputs from commodity manufacturing engineers

• Capture lessons learned and lead after-action reviews to enhance future build integration processes

• Support additional aerospace platforms as business needs require

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, data science, or a related field

• 2 or more years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

• 2 or more years of experience supporting development of engineering technical data packages for aircraft parts and components

• 2 or more years of experience applying professional and technical writing skills in a team-based engineering environment

• Ability to meet physical requirements, including walking on aircraft and crouching

• Regular and predictable attendance
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

• 5 or more years of related manufacturing or aerospace engineering experience

• Electrical background, including wire installation

• Build integration experience

• Experience with IVT

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience using CATIA and GoldEsp
