Pay Rate Starting at: $69.87 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace and missile defense industry to hire a highly capable Systems Engineer. In this role, you will support mission-critical systems that help defend the United States and its allies. You will apply systems engineering, analysis, and integration expertise to complex, large-scale defense architectures that directly impact national security.
Collaborate with industry partners to develop and execute assessment programs supporting command and control missile defense systems
Evaluate system performance across multiple architectures and operational scenarios
Perform system-of-systems and architecture analyses to optimize mission effectiveness
Develop and maintain modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats
Support requirements management, risk and opportunity tracking, and technology readiness assessments
Execute and document system integration and checkout activities, ensuring results meet defined requirements
Support subject matter experts across integration, test, system performance, and systems engineering domains
Utilize MBSE tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, and System Architect to support requirements, architecture development, and trade studies
Drive systems engineering approaches for integration, test, and system analysis
Identify process and tool improvements to enhance team productivity and effectiveness
Perform system analysis trade studies to define and recommend technical solutions
Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering (systems design, architecture, integration, requirements, or test)
Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
This position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens. -
4 or more years of related systems engineering experience
Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
Understanding of DoD missile defense command and control, battle management, architectures, and communications systems
Experience with requirements verification and validation
Working knowledge of Agile systems engineering and iterative product development
Experience developing capability assessments and assessment plans
Experience with scripting, automated testing, or analytical tool development
Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, or similar tools for modeling and simulation
Experience performing system or performance analysis, including trade studies and measures of effectiveness
Experience modeling or simulating missile defense or similarly complex systems
Experience with Agile development processes
Bachelor’s degree with 9 or more years of experience
Master’s degree with 7 or more years of experience
PhD with 4 or more years of experience
