Summary:
Consult with internal and external stakeholders to define technical requirements for numerical control (NC) and manufacturing processes
Identify appropriate equipment, tools, and approaches to support NC programming and manufacturing execution
Resolve manufacturing and production process issues related to NC programming and machining
Manage implementation of new and revised computing applications for design, machining, and inspection systems
Train and mentor team members; provide technical guidance
Work under general to consultative direction
Provide numerical control, machining, and programming expertise supporting multiple aerospace manufacturing programs
Create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation for multi-axis numerically controlled machines
Support the full product lifecycle from engineering concept through NC programming, troubleshooting, and shop floor execution
Thrive in a collaborative team environment while owning responsibility for assigned product lines
Provide NC programming and machining expertise to fabrication teams
Plan, create, verify, and revise MCD and supporting documentation for primarily metal machining applications
Support safe, efficient, and producible manufacturing operations
Requirements:
Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings
Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR
Master s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, OR
PhD with relevant work experience
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to mentor and support less-experienced programmers
Effective communication skills across engineering and manufacturing teams
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
