Summary:

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to precise tolerances and dimensions

Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, setup methods, and required cuts

Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Perform standard shop calculations related to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds

Measure, mark, and lay out stock for machining

Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment

Identify required materials, parts, and equipment for production

Operate conventional and/or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines

Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with statistical process control and other quality procedures

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience preferred

Company provides appropriate job training to support performance of all essential job functions

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
