Summary:
Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to produce precise tooling components
Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
Use precision measuring instruments in the shop and on the aircraft to ensure accuracy and quality
Collaborate with engineers and team members to develop effective tooling solutions
Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Support Aircraft Structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed
Fabricate aircraft parts in support of production and maintenance operations
Requirements:
Regular and predictable attendance is required
High School Diploma or GED required
5+ years of experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker
5+ years of experience operating manual mills and manual lathes
5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
5+ years of experience using precision measuring tools
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker
Knowledge of Aircraft Structures III processes
Flexibility to support Aircraft Structures III tasks as required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
