What You’ll Do Day to Day
As an Assembly Technician, you’ll perform a wide range of production and assembly operations, from repetitive to complex, including:
Assemble electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, frames, drawers, and cables
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and work orders
Perform layout work and use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and portable machines
Drill, seal, countersink, paint, varnish, and install fasteners
Conduct continuity checks, functional tests, and in-process or final quality inspections
Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies, including experimental or prototype units
Use precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and accuracy
Complete data transactions to support assembly progression
Identify, report, and help resolve issues with parts, tools, procedures, or sequences
Move materials, parts, and products within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment
Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of Total Preventative Maintenance
Document discrepancies per specifications and procedures
Support continuous product flow by training, coaching, and assisting other team members
Train to become MVP qualified, with company-provided training and certification
Required Qualifications
Experience or hands-on skills in assembly or manufacturing environments
Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Preferred Skills & Experience
Aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing assembly experience
Skills including drilling, sealing, fastener installation, painting, varnishing, and sub-assembly work
Experience as an Assembler, Sub-Assembler, or Structures Assembler/Installer
Familiarity with quality inspections and rework processes
