About the Role
As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools—both conventional and CNC—to manufacture precision aerospace components. You’ll interpret engineering documentation, select proper tooling, perform dimensional calculations, and ensure each part meets exact specifications.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools to produce parts and assemblies to exacting tolerances
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
Determine machining sequences, number of cuts, tooling requirements, feeds, and speeds
Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy
Perform shop math related to dimensions, tooling, and machining processes
Measure, mark, and scribe reference points to lay out stock for machining
Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment
Identify required materials, parts, and equipment for each job
Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or other quality procedures
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Required Qualifications
Completion of a formal machining apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
Experience operating machine tools in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Willingness to learn and follow safety and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating CNC machines in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC)
Experience working with tight tolerances and complex assemblies
Background in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing
