In this role, you’ll work hands-on with composite and laminate structures that are critical to aircraft strength, performance, and safety.

About the Role
As a Composite Technician, you will lay up, assemble, bond, and finish complex composite and metal structures in accordance with engineering and manufacturing specifications. You’ll use advanced equipment and techniques—including autoclaves, sealing resins, sanding, and burring—to produce high-quality aerospace components while supporting continuous production flow.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond composite, laminate, and metal assemblies, skins, and parts
Follow engineering and manufacturing specifications to determine bonding requirements, temperatures, and pressures
Cut composite materials and parts to required dimensions
Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles
Perform sanding, burring, smoothing, and finishing of bonded components
Apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges per process requirements
Utilize lay-up tools, including optical and hard tools, during fabrication
Obtain and interpret information from prints, work orders, charts, sketches, and electronic documentation
Use shop math and precision measuring instruments to verify work accuracy
Inspect work to ensure compliance with process and engineering specifications
Perform complicated rework or repairs as required
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with controlled procedures
Ensure tools and equipment certifications are maintained per procedure
Safely use and control solvents and cleaning solutions for bonding and paint preparation
Perform routine minor machine maintenance
Move product within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment and complete required transactions
Support production flow by training and assisting other employees
Train to become MVP qualified
Perform additional duties as assigned, with training and certification provided as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience working with composite fabrication or bonding processes
Hands-on experience with sanding, burring, autoclave operations, and sealing resins
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
Familiarity with lay-up tools and composite manufacturing processes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace composites manufacturing experience
Experience with composite repair and rework
Knowledge of controlled quality systems and inspection procedures
Ability to support and train other team members in a manufacturing environment
