POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for Experienced Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane subsystems, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Fighter Jet programs. Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies. Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build. Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization. Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Resolves complex technical problems. Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained. Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities. Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring. Duties may include (but are not limited to): · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle subsystems. · Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency. · Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. · Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives. · Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturability and assembly decisions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): · B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering · Composite Fabrication experience · Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers · Experience with 3D model based instruction · Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, NX, IPDM Teamcenter, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, · VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi-Monitor Collaborative Rooms, Enterprise Standard Gated Process · Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci) · Experience with CINCOM · Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)
REQUIRED EDUCATION Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
