PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry-leading HVAC organization to hire an Adaptive Planning Consultant (HRT Product Specialist). This role sits at the intersection of HR, technology, and business strategy, helping leaders make smarter workforce decisions through best-in-class Workday Adaptive Planning solutions.
Your expertise will directly support strategic workforce planning, enabling the business to scale, adapt, and compete in a rapidly evolving global market.
About the Role
As an Adaptive Planning Consultant, you will analyze, design, implement, and support Workday Adaptive Planning – Workforce Planning solutions. You’ll work closely with global HR Technology teams, HR Business COEs, Digital/IT partners, and external vendors to deliver scalable, high-impact planning solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
This is a hands-on, consultative role ideal for a Workday Adaptive Planning expert who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
Plan, design, configure, and test Workday Adaptive Planning solutions aligned with workforce planning strategies and policies
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and translate business needs into effective system and process solutions
Serve as a subject matter expert for workforce planning processes, including Headcount & Cost Planning, Resource & Capacity Planning, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Talent Planning
Analyze current programs and identify opportunities to enhance workforce planning through Workday functionality
Collaborate with HR Business COEs, HR Technology, Digital/IT, and external vendors to ensure solutions align with broader HR and business objectives
Support implementation and ongoing optimization of Workday Adaptive Planning features
Coordinate and support testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements and integrate seamlessly with existing systems
Provide production support, including troubleshooting configurations, business processes, integrations, and data issues
Create and maintain documentation such as user guides, job aids, process flows, test plans, and training materials
Communicate insights, recommendations, and solution options to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in HR technology, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Workday Adaptive Planning
Strong knowledge of HR processes, particularly Strategic Workforce Planning
Proven experience configuring and managing Adaptive Planning modules within Workday
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
Ability to work independently across multiple time zones while managing competing priorities
Familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery frameworks, including tools such as JIRA
Experience supporting acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures
Strong documentation skills, including creation of user guides, process flows, project plans, test plans, and presentation materials
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large, global HR organizations
Prior consulting or external analyst experience evaluating and implementing HR technology solutions
Exposure to broader Workday modules beyond Adaptive Planning
