PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry-leading HVAC organization to hire a Workday HCM Consultant who will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing a complex Workday HCM environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on consultant who thrives in operational support while contributing to continuous improvement and long-term HR technology success.
In this role, you’ll help ensure the organization’s workforce data, processes, and reporting remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives—directly impacting employees, leadership, and HR operations.
About the Role
As a Workday HCM Consultant, you will act as a trusted functional partner supporting day-to-day HCM operations, workforce changes, reporting, and system enhancements. You’ll work closely with HR Technology, HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to analyze needs, diagnose issues, and design practical Workday solutions that support evolving business demands.
This is a staff-augmentation role requiring adaptability, independence, and deep Workday expertise in a production environment.
What You’ll Do
Provide functional and operational support across Workday HCM, including employee and contingent worker lifecycle events
Prepare, format, and load EIBs to support hires, job changes, terminations, conversions, and organizational updates
Configure and maintain Workday data to support staffing, organizational, and compliance-driven changes
Develop, enhance, and maintain Workday Reports, including Advanced Reports and calculated fields
Partner with HR Technology, HR, Payroll, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
Support testing activities for configuration changes, EIBs, integrations, and Workday updates
Assist with documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement of Workday HCM processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of Workday experience
Strong hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM in a production environment
Demonstrated expertise with EIBs, Workday web services, and transactional processing
Solid experience with Workday Reporting, including Advanced Reports and calculated fields
Strong understanding of the Workday HCM staffing model, including Supervisory and Custom Organizations
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a staff augmentation, AMS, or post–go-live support model
Exposure to additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Absence, Benefits, or Payroll interfaces
Experience supporting workforce changes tied to reorganizations, acquisitions/divestitures, or compliance initiatives
Workday HCM or related certifications
