PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Tool and Die Maker to support critical manufacturing and aircraft support operations in San Antonio. In this hands-on role, your craftsmanship and precision will directly impact the quality, safety, and efficiency of aerospace production and maintenance programs.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the tooling that supports aerospace manufacturing and aircraft work, including:

• Fabricating, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, fixtures, and related equipment

• Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to produce precise tooling components

• Operating manual machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders

• Using precision measuring instruments in the shop and on aircraft to verify accuracy and quality

• Collaborating with engineers and cross-functional team members to develop tooling solutions

• Performing inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards

• Supporting aircraft structures work, including fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair as needed

• Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

This position is 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5+ years of experience as a machinist or tool maker

• 5+ years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines

• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications

• 5+ years of experience using precision measuring tools

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Reliable, regular, and predictable attendance
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct experience as a Tool and Die Maker

• Knowledge of aircraft structures and related fabrication or repair processes

• Flexibility to support aircraft structures tasks as needed

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
