Quality Systems Specialist

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate starting at : $46.91 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to recruit a Quality Systems Specialist who is passionate about precision, compliance, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will ensure quality is embedded early and consistently across supplier and program activities—helping safeguard compliance with customer, regulatory, and international aerospace standards.
This is a desk-based role ideal for a quality professional who excels at document review, data analysis, and interpreting technical requirements.
As a Quality Systems Specialist, your work will directly support supplier quality and program compliance by:
Reviewing supplier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for completeness and accuracy in accordance with AS9102 standards
Reading and interpreting blueprints and Certificates of Conformance to verify compliance
Reviewing proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to ensure early quality involvement
Preparing and maintaining quality directives, policies, procedures, metrics, and documentation
Analyzing process data, metrics, and reports to identify root causes of quality issues
Partnering with internal stakeholders to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
Conducting research and compiling performance reports and process control statistics to improve process capability
Performing supplier quality reviews and supporting management decisions related to supplier selection
Conducting audits at the hardware, software, and system level to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements
Supporting material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts, and equipment
1+ year of experience in a quality, inspection, or quality systems role
Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints
High School Diploma or GED
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) Forms 1, 2, and 3
Experience reviewing or working with First Article Inspection Reports
Familiarity with Certificates of Conformance (CoC)
Exposure to supplier quality or audit activities
