Metrology & Calibration Specialist — Set the Standard for Aerospace Precision
Location: Seattle, WA
Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (9 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $26 to $32 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Metrology & Calibration Specialist. In this role, you’ll ensure measurement and test equipment meets the highest technical, regulatory, and quality standards—supporting both military and commercial aircraft programs. Your expertise will directly impact product safety, compliance, and first-time quality across critical aerospace platforms.
Calibrate, certify, and document a wide range of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
Support planning and execution of test activities across multiple metrology disciplines
Determine appropriate test methods, requirements, and capabilities
Conduct routine tests, analyze data, and accurately document results
Maintain and update test procedures and revisions
Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory and test-related issues
Support precision measurement areas including dimensional, optical, mass, temperature/humidity, pressure, flow, and force
Uphold a strong culture of quality by identifying issues early and preventing defects
3+ years of calibration and certification experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Hands-on experience in one or more metrology disciplines such as flow, pressure, linear measurement, temperature/humidity, electrical, or other physical metrology processes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with electrical calibration and certification
Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) credential
Aerospace industry experience
PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience
Experience with LabVIEW, C++, and Microsoft Access
Experience writing or configuring automated hardware and software test systems
Associate’s degree in a related discipline with typically 1+ year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
