PAY RATE: $95-98/hour

Summary:
Perform airframe stress analysis with a strong focus on composite structures
Develop and document structural requirements for flight vehicle systems
Conduct hand calculations and FEA using Nastran/Patran
Size and analyze composite structures using FEA-based methods
Perform pre- and post-processing of NASTRAN models
Develop free-body diagrams and apply classical stress analysis techniques
Support composite design, fabrication, and assembly activities
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design compliance
Support certification efforts by analyzing structures to applicable regulatory and military standards
Investigate structural issues and support design improvements as needed
Prepare and present technical documentation and analysis reports
Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of Stress Engineering experience, focused on Airframe Stress
(Excludes tooling, systems, interiors, satellites, pods, etc.)
Strong composites experience required (composites-focused role; metallics not needed)
Experience with primary airframe composite structures
Proficiency in Nastran/Patran and hand calculations
Experience in composite design, fabrication, and structural analysis
Knowledge of composite manufacturing and FEA-based sizing
Experience with NASTRAN pre- and post-processing
Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis
Minimum 8+ years of structural analysis using strength of materials and FEA
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
U.S. Citizen / U.S. Person required per ITAR
Desired Skills
Hands-on experience with composite part fabrication and assembly
Turboprop aircraft experience
Pilot experience, aircraft homebuilding, or rapid prototyping
Experience with CFR 14 (Part 23/25), Part 400, military, or NASA standards
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
