Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to hire a Material Handling Associate to support stockroom, receiving, shipping, and inventory operations. In this hands-on role, your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly support production flow, on-time delivery, and overall operational excellence.
As a Material Handling Associate, you’ll support daily material movement and inventory control activities within a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
Perform manual and administrative tasks related to receiving, shipping, inventory control, and stockroom operations
Identify parts and materials using part numbers, color codes, labels, and documentation
Fill orders per Bill of Material (BOM) requirements and perform kit-picking
Package, ship, and receive materials using proper handling and packaging techniques
Unpack, verify condition, count, and receive incoming materials; escalate discrepancies as needed
Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
Utilize material handling and packaging equipment, including scales and tape-and-reel counters
Use computer systems and printers to record inventory transactions, generate labels, and perform labor charging
Assist with Non-Conforming Material (NCM) reject tags
Load and unload trucks using appropriate lifting equipment
Distribute materials to internal plant locations
Build and break down boxes; properly dispose of materials
Maintain packaging supply levels and replenish as needed
Support the customer service window and basic material requisitions
Train other employees and assist with team projects as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of directly related material handling, stockroom, shipping, or receiving experience
Strong reading, basic math, and computer skills
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted (occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance)
Steel-toed shoes required on start date (contractor expense)
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated environments
SAP familiarity
Experience with cycle counting, inventory systems, and material tracking
Prior experience with shipping and receiving operations
