PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to support airframe design and certification efforts in Everett, WA. In this high-impact role, you will ensure aircraft structures meet strength, durability, fail-safety, and damage tolerance requirements across the full product lifecycle. Your expertise will directly contribute to safe, reliable, and certifiable aircraft designs.
This is a 9-month full-time consulting opportunity ideal for seasoned stress analysts who thrive in technically complex, highly regulated environments.
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (9 months)
Location: Everett, WA (Washington Design Center)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate Starting at: $68.23 per hour
As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will apply advanced analytical methods to verify and validate aircraft structural integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams to define the structural environment
Supporting product design through analytical methods, finite element modeling, and simulations
Performing stress analysis for metallic and/or composite aircraft structures
Ensuring compliance with strength, durability, fail-safety, and damage tolerance requirements
Developing and documenting certification and test substantiation for regulatory approval
Supporting multiple analysis commodities, which may include fuselage, wing/empennage, propulsion structures, systems stress, interiors stress, or seats stress
Working with minimal direction while managing technical priorities and deliverables
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
8+ years of experience in aircraft stress or structural analysis
Strong understanding of aircraft structural analysis methods and tools
Experience analyzing metallic and/or composite structures
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience supporting commercial aircraft certification programs
Familiarity with finite element modeling tools and simulation software
Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
Education and experience typically acquired through an accredited Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related work experience
Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) with equivalent experience will be considered
ABET-accredited degrees preferred but not required
