About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Programmer Analyst to support critical Manufacturing Quality IT systems. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the stability, security, and evolution of enterprise applications that support highly regulated manufacturing operations. You will work across the full software development lifecycle while helping modernize systems through cloud migration, DevSecOps, Agile practices, and AI-driven automation.

This is a 12-month consultant role offering competitive pay, a hybrid schedule, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-visibility systems in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 months)
Location: Hazelwood, MO (Hybrid – onsite required certain days)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate Starting at : $54.32 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for stabilizing, securing, and enhancing multiple Manufacturing Quality enterprise applications. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Developing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting Java and Oracle-based applications

• Supporting additional languages and technologies as systems evolve

• Ensuring system security compliance and addressing technical debt

• Managing system change, configuration, and production support

• Collaborating across IT and business teams to resolve software and infrastructure issues

• Supporting regulatory compliance activities and quality audits

• Applying Agile, DevSecOps, cloud, and AI automation strategies

• Continuously learning new technologies, business processes, and system architectures

• Managing multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency and accountability

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, deployment, maintenance, and support

• 3+ years of experience in data integration development and maintenance

• 3+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environments

• 3+ years of experience with Java

• 3+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL

• 1+ year of experience working in an Agile environment

• 1+ year of professional experience in AI Software Engineering and Automation
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WebSphere and Spring Boot

• Experience with system integration tools and methodologies (ETL, Autosys, Pub/Sub, JSON, RESTful APIs, Perl)

• Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, JetBrains Suite, Git, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and JIRA

• Experience with application security tools such as AppScan, Coverity, and CyberArk

Education & Experience

• Typically 5 or more years of related work or military experience

• Advanced degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher) preferred but not required

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
