Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $54.75 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to identify a highly skilled Engineering Aide (Engineering Services Support Technician) to support critical engineering programs. In this hands-on role, you will perform complex technical tasks that directly contribute to the planning, testing, and execution of engineering projects that support advanced aerospace systems.
Working under minimal supervision, you will collaborate closely with engineers and senior technical staff to support engineering development, testing, and analysis.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
Provide technical support to engineers across multiple engineering disciplines
Perform moderate to complex technical tasks supporting engineering project planning and execution
Review and evaluate workflow illustrations, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization
Operate, inspect, and maintain test setups and equipment to identify and resolve malfunctions
Conduct materials testing and analysis and support interpretation of results
Plan and execute experiments; gather, maintain, format, compile, and analyze technical data
Analyze and manage engineering data and design changes
Produce technical drawings, reports, and engineering documentation
Perform laboratory and engineering functions involving the layout, build, test, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronic and electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
Assist with training, orienting, and assigning work to technical or business support staff as needed
Associate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent 2-year post–high school technical training
Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering or technical experience
Experience with component-level troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with fine-pitch soldering, circuit card assembly rework, and complex electro-mechanical assemblies
Experience performing acceptance testing in a lab or production environment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Military technical experience
J-STD soldering certifications
Experience working in laboratory or production environments
Strong organizational skills and basic project management experience
