Role Summary
As an Aircraft Composite Technician, you will work under minimal supervision in a production environment to manufacture and repair complex composite aircraft parts. Your work will support high-quality aircraft assembly while collaborating with team members to resolve manufacturing challenges and maintain world-class standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Manufacture a wide variety of composite aircraft parts to exact manufacturing specifications
Perform complex lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave processing, trimming, and composite repairs
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, specifications, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets
Determine proper sequence of operations and apply correct manufacturing techniques
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and scales
Inspect your own work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection
Maintain accurate production logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, CRABS, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.)
Support Lean manufacturing, FOD control, 5S programs, and all safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work any shift as required to support production needs
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of related composite manufacturing experience
Ability to work with composite resins and materials
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documentation
Strong math skills, including use of fractions and decimals for dimensional calculations
Basic computer skills
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace or aircraft composite manufacturing environments
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience supporting production teams in high-quality, regulated environments
