Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (4-Month Assignment)
Pay Rate: $45–$48 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime and weekend work required based on business needs
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Painter to support a premier aerospace manufacturer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this role, your expertise directly contributes to aircraft quality, performance, and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced painters who take pride in precision work and operating at the highest industry standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for complex aircraft surface preparation and coating operations, including:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and electronic work instructions
Preparing, mixing, thinning, and applying primers, protective coatings, and finish coats using spray, dip, roll, and brush methods
Setting up and operating paint spray systems, robotic spray coating equipment, ovens, furnaces, quench tanks, and chemical processing equipment
Performing anodizing, electroplating, chemical milling, and metal treatment processes
Applying specialty finishes, including baked, wrinkle, and radar-absorptive coatings
Performing rework and detailed touch-ups when required
Recording manufacturing data manually and through computer-based systems
Maintaining required certifications for tools and equipment
Supporting team members through training and collaboration
Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
Reporting process, tooling, or material issues to leadership
Minimum of 5 years of aircraft painting experience
Demonstrated ability to meet aerospace quality and finish standards
Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift
Flexibility to work any assigned shift, including overtime and weekends
Strong blueprint reading and technical documentation skills
Ability to navigate electronic manufacturing systems
Willingness to complete a hands-on painting demonstration upon start
Additional Notes:
This position does not offer per diem
Experience with robotic spray coating equipment
Background in anodizing, electroplating, or chemical milling processes
Experience working with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, or similar aerospace metals
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
