Summary:
Plan, organize, and prioritize work based on project deliverables.
Perform detailed stress analysis of aircraft metallic and composite fuselage structures using classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Review, analyze, and substantiate structural design changes for static, fatigue, and damage tolerance loads.
Generate stress substantiation and compliance reports.
Develop and/or review structural qualification plans in accordance with OEM and regulatory requirements.
Review and approve vendor drawings, stress analyses, and test reports as required.
Coordinate with design engineers, team leads, suppliers, and technical management to ensure designs meet project objectives and regulatory standards.
Participate in design reviews, presenting stress analysis results and challenging design solutions as appropriate.
Prepare progress reports to communicate status and deliverable objectives.
Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting schedules and quality expectations.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution required.
3 5 years of experience in Aerospace Stress Engineering.
Experience analyzing both metallic and composite aircraft structures.
Prior Boeing experience required.
Proficiency in static (FEA and free-body), fatigue, and transient analysis.
Hands-on experience with Nastran, Patran, and Abaqus.
Strong background in classical hand stress analysis and finite element methods.
In-depth knowledge of Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
