Quality Inspector – Safeguard Aerospace Excellence from the Ground Up

Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (12 months)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $32.50–$40.00/hr (final rate may be adjusted after interview)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Quality Inspector who plays a critical role in ensuring components and final assemblies meet exacting engineering and quality standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to compliance will directly impact product safety, reliability, and customer confidence. If you take pride in precision and accountability, this role puts you at the heart of aerospace quality assurance.
Working under general supervision, you will perform component and final assembly inspections to ensure full compliance with released engineering requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Performing inspections on purchased parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
Conducting visual inspections as the primary method of validation
Verifying dimensional data, test reports, and inspection results
Reviewing end-item data packages and in-process documentation, including:
Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) validation
Routers and work instructions
Nonconforming material documentation
Certificates of Conformance (CoC)
Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine product conformity
Creating and documenting nonconforming material reports (Q-Notes)
Performing additional inspection-related duties as assigned
Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and ability to make sound conformity decisions
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience inspecting aerospace components or assemblies
Working knowledge of SAP and/or CATIA
Familiarity with quality documentation, test reports, and inspection records
