As Engineer II - Fly-by Wire, you will work within the Flight Controls Department. Your focus is on development of test software for our next generation spaceship. Additionally, you will work on testing supplier software deliveries and troubleshooting software issues.

Responsibilities
• Lead development of the system Built-in-Test (BIT).
• Test supplier software deliveries.
• Determine root cause of software issues and propose corrective actions.
• Review supplier software development process, conduct audits and code reviews.
• Perform system integration of components.

Required Skills and Experience
• Must possess a degree from an accredited university (preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
• 5 + years with Bachelor's; or 3 years and a Master's; or PhD without experience or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace software development and test.
• Aerospace software development experience.
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test experience.
• C and Python programming.
• Understanding of software development process for flight (DO-178).
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience
• Hands-on experience testing/troubleshooting electronics and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with flight control systems including fault-tolerant architectures.
• Knowledge of aircraft flight control system operations, flight test, or pilot experience.
• Understanding of systems development process for flight (ARP-4754).
• Data analysis using MATLAB.
• Modeling and simulation using Simulink.
• LabVIEW programing.
