Summary of the Role:
At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re seeking a proactive and results-driven Buyer to ensure timely delivery and performance across a network of suppliers supporting aircraft engine and mechanical assembly production. This role is critical to maintaining operational flow and resolving complex supply chain challenges.

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinate and manage deliveries from approximately a dozen suppliers to support aircraft engine and mechanical assembly builds.

• Oversee supplier performance, delivery schedules, and execution.

• Resolve supplier issues including quality, capacity, delivery delays, material shortages, payment disputes, supply chain interruptions, tooling, and design clarifications.

• Report to multiple internal teams supporting various manufacturing sites and customer platforms.

• Utilize SAP, SharePoint, Teamcenter, and web-based applications for daily operations.

• Actively engage with suppliers—pick up the phone and drive solutions rather than waiting passively.

• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while investing time to learn products and manufacturing processes to identify recovery solutions.

What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience in industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, or Defense (not retail, hospitality, or similar).

• Background in procurement, purchasing, or scheduling—experience working with internal materials and outside suppliers.

• Highly responsive, self-directed, and able to work with a strong sense of urgency.

• Pay Rate: $32.31–$40.38/hr, DOE
