Summary:
Process, verify, route, store, order, deliver, track, and maintain materials and supplies in accordance with company and customer requirements
Perform shipping, receiving, inspecting, driving, material handling, and computer-based tasks
Read and interpret work orders, requisition part lists, specifications, and shipping/receiving documentation
Document and maintain material requisitions, picking instructions, and inventory records
Apply basic mathematics to count, add, subtract, and inventory parts and supplies
Set up and operate hand tools and material handling equipment
Fabricate special containers for shipment per company and customer specifications
Operate company vehicles and ground support equipment (GSE) for material delivery and storage
Use computer systems to input, retrieve, and track inventory and stock information
Operate barcode readers, pan stock counting equipment, packing, and banding equipment
Operate overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, side loaders, tow motors, and other material handling equipment
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
Consolidate parts and assemble kits (parts kits, hazardous material kits, tooling kits, etc.)
Prepare materials for storage and shipment according to procedures
Stock and issue parts and crib items, including sealers and hazardous materials
Perform rough and non-angular cutting of materials, primarily tubing
Store and retrieve materials from high-level storage using picker machinery
Verify received materials against documentation and report discrepancies or damage
Conduct inventory counts and report material deterioration or damage
Review production schedules to ensure sufficient material availability
Analyze and resolve material-related issues impacting quality, schedules, and budgets
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision or management
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 3 years of experience with stockroom or tool crib procedures
Experience using warehouse and material handling equipment
Ability to support rotating shifts
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
3+ years of experience using inventory or warehouse management systems
1+ year of experience managing Government property (acquisition, receiving, tracking, inventory, and disposition)
Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs (team lift required for items over 50 lbs)
Exposure to noise and elevated platforms
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Pass visual acuity and color perception testing
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials
Obtain and maintain required training certifications
Frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, balancing, bending, and stooping
Occasional climbing, crawling, squatting, and extended physical activity
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
