JOB TITLE: RF Electronics Technician

Summary:

Set up test apparatus and perform testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies

Conduct tests in accordance with established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences

Assemble and lay out production electronic equipment per engineering designs and specifications

Adjust and calibrate electronic test systems as required

Troubleshoot malfunctions to the component level by adjusting or replacing parts as directed

Utilize schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry

Apply strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

Determine appropriate test methods and recommend modifications to test equipment

Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance

Assist engineers with development and improvement of test procedures for new products

Recommend product or manufacturing process improvements

Support quality verification activities using statistical process control or other quality methods

Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment to meet customer schedules

Use hand tools, small power tools, and electronic test equipment

Operate measurement devices including:

Digital multimeters

Oscilloscopes

Network analyzers

Frequency standards

Signal generators

RF power meters

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical training equivalent to a Technical Associate degree or demonstrated para-engineering experience

Minimum 1 year of experience testing electronic assemblies, including component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits

Proficient in electronics testing, diagnostics, and circuit card troubleshooting

Experience with flying probe and high-power testing; extensive RF testing

Familiarity with radar systems

Strong electrical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic data collection systems

Basic computer skills required

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)
