PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a world-renowned aerospace leader to find an Avionics Technician who’s ready to work on cutting-edge, full fly-by-wire spacecraft technology. As an Avionics Technician, you’ll be at the heart of spacecraft manufacturing—bringing complex avionics systems to life. Your precision, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality will directly support the successful build, integration, and testing of next-generation aerospace vehicles.
Fabricate, assemble, and install avionics components including wire harnesses, DAUs, LRUs, and sensors
Perform wire routing, tying, stripping, crimping, terminations, continuity checks, and troubleshooting
Support manufacturing, installation, design, development, and testing of advanced aerospace technologies
Use shop tools and machinery such as multimeters, soldering irons, crimpers, wire strippers, and cutters
Interpret and follow manufacturing work instructions, drawings, blueprints, and digital models
Ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to assembly instructions on complex builds
Collaborate across teams while maintaining focus on timeliness, execution, and accountability
Practice strict safety standards, FOD awareness/prevention, and regulatory compliance
Provide technical input for assessment, repair, and maintenance recommendations
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of aircraft fabrication and assembly experience (or equivalent industry experience)
Hands-on experience with aircraft wire harness fabrication and installation and LRU build-up
Ability to use computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and digital models
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use PPE
A&P training preferred
Experience applying current manufacturing practices and eagerness to learn cutting-edge spacecraft techniques
Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning systems
Familiarity with lean manufacturing philosophies and tools
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain a big-picture perspective
Safety-forward approach with excellent housekeeping, tool control, and hazardous material handling awareness
