Operations Lead
Lead the Line on Aerospace Delivery: Operations Lead | Onsite, Windsor Locks, CT
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Operations Lead to drive delivery assurance for critical programs. In this highly visible, onsite role, you’ll bridge program management and factory execution—ensuring on-time delivery, resolving constraints on the manufacturing floor, and coordinating recovery actions that keep complex aerospace programs moving.
Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) to customer request dates for military programs
Obtain and validate delivery commitments
Establish and execute recovery plans
Support delivery assurance activities end to end
Maintain an active presence on the manufacturing floor
Understand material WIP positions and collaborate with supervisors and managers to deliver product
Provide detailed line-of-balance updates with robust action plans for production hardware
Communicate significant delivery risks and issues to Value Stream Leadership, including customer impact
Drive detailed recovery actions with suppliers and internal manufacturing sites to restore delivery schedules
Facilitate burndown of Supplier Requested Information (SRI) and First Article Inspection (FAI) items
Support material substitution or last-time-buy activities to ensure component availability
Provide inputs into the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
Support Product Value Streams with rate readiness assessments, gap identification, and action plans
Help maintain production capacity alignment (labor, equipment, tooling) with short- and long-term demand
Coordinate closely with Value Stream Leaders, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
Experience in operations, program management, project management, or delivery assurance
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both factory leadership and customer-facing teams
Experience working directly on or closely with manufacturing operations
Ability to analyze production constraints and drive corrective actions
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Associate’s degree
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
Experience supporting military or regulated programs
Familiarity with production planning, supplier coordination, and readiness assessments
Proven ability to lead cross-functional recovery efforts
