Shape the Future of Aerospace Talent: Employee Development Specialist (2nd Shift)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Employee Development Specialist to support a growing manufacturing workforce. In this role, you’ll design, deliver, and continuously improve technical training programs that directly enable workforce readiness, safety, and performance—playing a critical role in onboarding and developing new hires in a high-demand aerospace environment.
Conduct learning needs assessments and establish clear learning objectives
Design, develop, and deliver technical training content and instructional materials
Facilitate classroom and hands-on training using a variety of instructional methods
Serve as an instructor in specialized aerospace skill areas such as Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, or related disciplines
Coach individuals and teams to improve performance and skill application on the job
Facilitate learning events and knowledge transfer through instruction, observation, and performance tracking
Prepare, schedule, and roster training sessions to meet manufacturing and hiring demands
Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve course delivery
Emphasize safety best practices and ensure all training aligns with established policies
Maintain a positive, productive learning environment and address classroom issues promptly
Conduct individual and group assessments and recommend process or performance improvements
Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify and support additional instructors
Ensure courseware and delivery comply with commercial, regulatory, and organizational standards
Education and experience typically obtained through a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of related experience
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s degree + 4 years, or 10+ years of related experience)
Experience designing and delivering technical or manufacturing training
Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
Ability to deliver instruction in a classroom and hands-on production environment
Knowledge of safety practices and training compliance requirements
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Background in aerospace manufacturing or technical training environments
Instructional experience in Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, or similar disciplines
Experience supporting large-scale hiring or workforce ramp-ups
Train-the-Trainer facilitation experience
