JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary:

Manage records for aircraft conformity, quality documentation, and certification reporting

Develop and oversee inspection schedules for parts, kits, documentation, and test articles

Collaborate with product development teams to integrate design-for-quality principles

Create and maintain documentation: inspection criteria, test plans, FMEA, and risk assessments

Participate in design reviews: PDR, CDR, prototype, DFM, DFA, V&V, and final design reviews

Establish and maintain inspection criteria and plans to verify conformance

Coordinate with DARs and DERs to support inspections and certifications

Process non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board meetings

Lead or assist with supplier qualification, auditing, and enhancing inspection criteria

Support responses to FAA requests and audits

Conduct internal and supplier audits to AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA standards; implement CAPA

Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier development programs

Develop and track quality metrics, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement

Provide training and guidance on quality standards, processes, and regulatory requirements

Support ongoing improvement of the QMS in alignment with regulatory and customer expectations

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering

5+ years in quality assurance, supplier quality, or conformity inspection in aerospace

Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations

4+ years of experience working with regulatory agencies (FAA, ISO/AS9100 registrars, customers)

Experience reviewing installation, assembly, and electrical drawings; participating in design reviews

Experience with FAA-approved DMIR, DAR, or DER processes

Experience conducting audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning

Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
