Summary of the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Assembler to support complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems for a major aerospace leader. In this highly skilled role, you will apply advanced technical expertise to assemble, install, repair, and test electrical components that directly impact the performance and safety of world-class aircraft. Your precision and craftsmanship will support the 787 program and help bring cutting-edge aerospace technology to life.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, aircraft systems, and accessories using manual and automated tools.
Route wire harnesses to supports in accordance with blueprints and specifications
Build connectors, splice wires, crimp, and terminate wiring assemblies.
Install connectors onto receptacles, components, and electronic assemblies.
Perform rework and repairs to incorporate authorized engineering changes and updated specifications.
Conduct fiber optic cleaning, inspection, light loss testing, routing, and installation.
Execute bond and ground operations including CRNs, jumper installation, ground stud installation, and resistance testing.
Required Qualifications
7 or more years of experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
7 or more years of experience using software applications such as internet tools, email, Microsoft Suite, and other specialized systems.
7 or more years of experience reading and following detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications in English.
7 or more years of experience in advanced manufacturing, mechanical, or technical roles involving hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
7 or more years of experience with wiring design drawings, including system interconnects, wire routing, and equipment installation drawings.
Ability to meet physical demands including bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, standing, twisting, climbing, balancing, crawling, and crouching.
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
Ability to safely work with high-hazard chemicals.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working directly on major aerospace programs
Advanced knowledge of electrical assembly best practices in a production or flight-line environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience conducting electrical repairs or rework.
