We are seeking a highly experienced Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer (Senior) to play a pivotal role in maintaining and restoring regulatory compliance across the full aircraft lifecycle.

In this role, you will lead complex Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations tied to regulatory compliance issues. Your work will directly influence product safety, inform executive decision-making, and help ensure continued trust in one of the world’s safest transportation systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and facilitate RCCA investigations related to FAA Letters of Investigation, compliance actions, voluntary disclosures, self-audit findings, and Part 25 airworthiness non-compliances

  • Guide functional engineering teams (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) through structured investigation processes

  • Develop clear problem statements and conduct in-depth root cause analysis to identify systemic issues

  • Define and drive containment actions, corrective actions, and verification plans to prevent recurrence

  • Coordinate closely with functional teams, suppliers, leadership, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure alignment on investigation status and resolution

  • Partner with Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) representatives to ensure investigation documentation meets regulatory expectations

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of investigation processes, tools, and best practices

  • Communicate complex technical and regulatory information to diverse technical and non-technical audiences

  • Serve as a trusted safety and compliance advisor to programs and senior leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution

  • 9+ years of related engineering or regulatory compliance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and mentor cross-functional teams

  • Proven initiative, ownership, and accountability in driving complex work to completion

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of RCCA tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone diagrams, or structured problem-solving methodologies

  • Familiarity with FAA regulatory compliance and ODA processes (e.g., FAA Order 8100.15)

  • Experience working directly with the FAA or other regulatory agencies

  • Background in aircraft systems design, analysis, or systems integration (e.g., Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels)
