Electrical Engineer

Description:
The Associate Electrical Engineer position will support senior personnel with engineering projects and electro-mechanical systems to support the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of new systems and products, or modifications and revisions to current systems and products intended to support Military and Defense customers. This engineer will assist in the
development of environmental control units (ECU), CBRN protection, and heater systems that will be used every day by our brave warfighters and emergency responders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Strong experience with electrical circuits, components, schematics, and wire diagrams.
· Familiarity with digital electrical circuits, components, and PCB manufacturing is preferred.
· Develop electrical layouts based on specifications and requirement packages.
· Schematic layout and documentation.
· Drafting of assembly drawings and wire lists for cables and wiring harnesses.
· Set up and conduct tests to determine the performance of environmental control units,
CBRN protection, heaters, and other systems.
· Record, analyze, interpret, and communicate test data to improve or troubleshoot system design.
· Completes requisite technical rationale/analysis to substantiate design releases with
or without guidance (depending on experience)
· Reports or drives progress and status (depending on experience)
· Completes tasks assigned on time and budget while meeting technical requirements
· Complies with Engineering Playbook
· Embraces or leads initiatives (depending on experience)
· Implements design to cost with or without guidance (depending on experience)
· Implements design for manufacture and assembly with or without guidance (depending on
experience)
· Travel to other HDT locations as needed.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar technical field. A bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
· 3-5 years’ experience in a similar technical role.
· Experience with military and defense applications is preferred.
· AutoCAD or equivalent experience is preferred.
· Effective oral and written communication skills.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Ability to solve problems with little information.
· Ability to work autonomously, prioritize work assignments, and multitask to meet deadlines.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· PC-based computer experience, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential; SAP experience
preferred.

Must be a U.S. citizen to support defense-related programs. Must complete pre-employment drug and background testing.
