Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $32.19/hour | Schedule: Weekend Days (5am - 5:30pm)
Are you ready to take your avionics expertise to new heights? PDS Tech Commercial is looking for an Avionics Installer to join our high-performing team in the Aerospace Industry. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting avionics installations, modifications, and functional testing, ensuring the highest standards for aircraft systems.
About the Role:
As an Avionics Installer, you'll be leading a team of technicians in avionics installations, fabricating wire harnesses, and ensuring the timely, quality completion of projects. You'll be at the forefront of complex avionics/electrical system installations, directly contributing to the efficiency and safety of aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Support: Lead and guide technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet customer specifications.
Avionics Installation & Fabrication: Install, modify, and fabricate electrical components and systems based on blueprints, engineering drawings, and worksheets.
Training & Mentorship: Share your expertise with other team members, helping develop skills and techniques that drive high-quality results.
Problem-Solving: Work closely with Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough checks of all work, ensuring a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with company regulations.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety regulations and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics OR four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical documents.
Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding and mentoring a team.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Ability to care for and maintain tools and equipment.
Preferred:
Knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures, Inspection Procedures, and relevant Process Specifications.
Proven experience working in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen).
Computer keyboard skills and proficiency in basic software.
