BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 9+ years of systems engineering experience involving: system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification.
o 9+ years of experience with Avionics Hardware & Software development, design, production and project management.
o 9+ years of experience in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.
o 9+ years of experience with Hardware and LRU development, test and qualification.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking a T-7A Mission Systems Senior Technical Lead Engineer (Level 5) to join the T-7A Mission Systems Team located in Berkeley, MO.

As a Technical Lead Engineer on the T-7A Mission Systems Hardware team, your role will support the development, qualification, and production of mission computing, communications, navigation, surveillance, datalink and display avionics. You will be responsible for managing the technical performance of critical suppliers to ensure integration and verification of installed system performance. The T-7A Mission Systems includes new development and off-the-shelf hardware integrated in an advanced laboratory and being verified in flight test. The Mission Systems development activities include hardware requirements decomposition, qualification test, laboratory and aircraft integration, formal verification test, and production support.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

o Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
o Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
o Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex projects.
o Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
o Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.
o Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
o Assigns responsibility for activities to team members and ensures technical correctness and consistency of products and services.
o Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Experience with Advanced Cockpit Displays: Heads Up Display (HUD), Up Front Control Display (UFCD), Large Area Displays (LAD), and mission systems avionics equipment.
o Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance strongly preferred.
o Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
o Experience with commercial and military avionics systems.
o Experience working with suppliers and supply chain management.
o Proposal development experience.

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
