Pay Rate Starting at : $48.47 per hour

The Role & Its Impact

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a world-class aerospace leader to support a critical initiative within Commercial Airplanes Quality: QMS 2.0 – Commercial Airplane Process Simplification. As a Technical Writer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex quality and process documentation into clear, accessible, and easy-to-understand content used across all levels of the organization.

Your work will directly improve comprehension, consistency, and usability of enterprise-wide documents—helping teams work smarter, reduce ambiguity, and strengthen quality across aerospace programs.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze existing quality and process documentation to assess readability and comprehension levels

• Simplify complex technical requirements into clear, concise, user-focused content

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to incorporate feedback, revisions, and best practices

• Redesign documentation using structured writing architecture, including tables, figures, and visuals

• Support multiple documents aligned to defined business process swim-lanes over a multi-year roadmap

• Contribute to process improvements that standardize how documentation is written and maintained

• Work as part of a collaborative team of approximately 25 professionals

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of direct technical writing experience

• Aerospace industry experience

• 3–5 years of technical process knowledge in any discipline

• Ability to translate complex technical content into clear, structured documentation
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with manufacturing and/or quality systems

• Project management experience

• Exposure to or familiarity with generative AI tools and concepts

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with typically 10+ years of related experience, or

• Master’s degree with typically 8+ years of related experience, or

• An equivalent combination of education and experience
