PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a world-renowned aerospace leader to hire an Experienced Software Developer for a high-visibility role supporting Manufacturing Quality Information Technology. In this position, your work directly impacts product quality, regulatory compliance, and the reliability of systems that support aerospace manufacturing at scale.

This is a full-time, 12-month consulting opportunity offering competitive pay, meaningful technical challenges, and the chance to work on enterprise applications that matter.


Role Overview

As a Software Developer on the Manufacturing Quality IT team, you will support the full software development lifecycle for multiple enterprise applications. You’ll play a key role in stabilizing, securing, modernizing, and enhancing systems used across the organization, while helping drive initiatives in cloud migration, DevSecOps, Agile, and AI-enabled automation.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong full-stack experience, a growth mindset, and a passion for learning new technologies within a complex, mission-critical environment.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, maintain, and support multiple Java and Oracle-based enterprise applications

  • Support applications built with additional languages and technologies, learning new stacks as needed

  • Stabilize and secure systems through:

  • Security compliance and vulnerability remediation

  • Technical debt reduction

  • Change, configuration, and release management

  1. Provide production support and collaborate across teams to resolve software and infrastructure issues

  2. Support regulatory compliance requirements and quality audits

  3. Continuously expand knowledge of systems, infrastructure, business processes, and emerging technologies

  4. Manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency and accountability

  5. Contribute to enterprise initiatives including:

  6. Cloud migration

  7. DevSecOps implementation

  8. Agile delivery practices

  9. AI software engineering and automation


    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in software development, deployment, maintenance, and support

    • 3+ years of experience with data integration development and maintenance

    • 3+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environments

    • 3+ years of experience with Java

    • 3+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL

    • 1+ year of experience working in an Agile environment

    • 1+ year of professional experience in AI software engineering and automation

      This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
       


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with WebSphere and Spring Boot

    • Experience with system integration tools and methodologies (ETL, Autosys, Pub/Sub, JSON, RESTful APIs, Perl)

    • Experience using development and collaboration tools such as:

    • Visual Studio, JetBrains Suite

    • Git, GitLab

    • Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA

  10. Experience with application security tools such as AppScan, Coverity, and CyberArk


    Education / Experience

    Education and experience are typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Equivalent experience may include, but is not limited to:

    • Master’s degree plus 3+ years of related work experience

    • PhD-level education

    • 9+ years of related professional work experience


    Work Schedule & Location

    • Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

    • Work Model: Hybrid/Telecommute with required onsite days

    • Onsite Locations: Hazelwood, MO; Renton, WA; Everett, WA


    Compensation

    • Pay Rate from: $50 to $70 per hour

Pay Details: $52.67 per hour
