JOB TITLE: Aerospace Upholstery Technician I
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $23.31/hour

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary:

Entry-level position

Perform upholstery tasks in compliance, FAA, customer, and design specifications

Install and trim components per work order instructions and engineering requirements

Fit and install:

Panels and windows

Cabin headliners

Upper and lower sidewalls

Hatch panels

Carpet (cutting and surging)

Bulkhead coverings

Various fabricated metal parts

Create carpet patterns from design drawings and complete installations

Use the material tracking system to:

Create parts demands

Track squawks

Sign off completed work

Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or hand tools used in upholstery or carpet trades preferred

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

Proficient with measuring tools and basic math

Computer literate

Able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
