Drive System Architecture. Strengthen Safety. Lead Engineering Excellence.

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in requirements engineering, system architecture, verification & validation, and cross-functional technical integration. Your work will directly support aircraft-level system development, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role—ideal for professionals who thrive in multidisciplinary environments and want to contribute to major aerospace programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation across aircraft, system, and item levels.

  • Develop and maintain functional and logical system architecture.

  • Support safety activities including FHA, PSSA, CMA, SSA, and FMEA/FMES in alignment with engineering and regulatory standards.

  • Ensure traceability from top-level requirements through system implementation.

  • Plan, develop, and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model lifecycle.

  • Guide collaboration across hardware, software, safety, and test engineering teams during development and integration.

  • Prepare documentation for certification efforts and support FAA/EASA requirements.

  • Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and engineering interchange meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 9+ years of experience in the systems engineering lifecycle (or Master’s +7 years, PhD +4 years).

  • Strong expertise with the Systems Engineering V-Diagram process.

  • Knowledge of safety assessments: FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES.

  • Familiarity with certification frameworks such as ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.

  • Strong analytical ability, technical writing proficiency, and collaborative communication skills.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).

  • Systems modeling using SysML/UML, Cameo, or equivalent tools.

  • Experience leading test planning and execution across integration levels.
