PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team, partnering with a leading aerospace organization in Everett, WA. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in requirements engineering, system architecture, verification & validation, and cross-functional technical integration. Your work will directly support aircraft-level system development, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role—ideal for professionals who thrive in multidisciplinary environments and want to contribute to major aerospace programs.
Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation across aircraft, system, and item levels.
Develop and maintain functional and logical system architecture.
Support safety activities including FHA, PSSA, CMA, SSA, and FMEA/FMES in alignment with engineering and regulatory standards.
Ensure traceability from top-level requirements through system implementation.
Plan, develop, and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model lifecycle.
Guide collaboration across hardware, software, safety, and test engineering teams during development and integration.
Prepare documentation for certification efforts and support FAA/EASA requirements.
Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and engineering interchange meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
9+ years of experience in the systems engineering lifecycle (or Master’s +7 years, PhD +4 years).
Strong expertise with the Systems Engineering V-Diagram process.
Knowledge of safety assessments: FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES.
Familiarity with certification frameworks such as ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
Strong analytical ability, technical writing proficiency, and collaborative communication skills.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
Systems modeling using SysML/UML, Cameo, or equivalent tools.
Experience leading test planning and execution across integration levels.
Background in aircraft design, development, and certification processes.
