As a Design and Analysis Engineer within the Safety organization, you will lead and support safety initiatives that drive compliance, reliability, and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate system behavior, identify and mitigate fleet hazards, and develop safety strategies that uphold the highest industry standards.
Conduct research and systems analysis to identify, assess, and quantify fleet safety risks, hazards, and operational concerns.
Investigate in-service issues and determine systemic root causes using industry best practices.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety, airworthiness, and mission assurance requirements into designs, processes, and operational procedures.
Perform or review tests, inspections, simulations, audits, and analyses to verify compliance with established safety requirements.
Develop, maintain, and improve aerospace safety and mission assurance tools and processes.
Document safety analysis, hazard mitigations, verification, and validation activities in alignment with customer and regulatory standards.
Create and update safety and corrective action plans.
Support customer and regulatory engagements by demonstrating risk mitigations and control methods.
Drive mission success through execution of Mission Assurance activities across the program lifecycle.
Bachelor’s degree and typically 5+ years of experience in an engineering classification
OR a Master’s degree with typically 3+ years
OR a PhD with relevant engineering experience.
Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited program (ABET preferred).
Proven experience in design, analysis, safety engineering, or mission assurance within a technical or aerospace environment.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Strong understanding of aerospace safety standards, regulatory requirements, and hazard analysis methodologies.
Experience supporting commercial aircraft programs or other safety-critical systems.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $56.92 per hour
