Summary:
Inspect aircraft structures thoroughly, identifying and documenting damage or wear
Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
Execute sheet metal repairs and modifications on structural components (wing, fuselage, tail, etc.)
Fabricate and modify aircraft parts as needed
Perform minor structural repairs on composite components, attached or detached
Conduct mechanical and electrical removals and installations as required
Interpret and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications
Assist with complex structural repairs on and off aircraft
Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs and regulatory compliance
Inspect confined areas of the airframe
Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to aviation structural maintenance
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience, or equivalent
Corporate jet or commercial aircraft experience preferred
CRJ airframe experience a plus
MRO experience a plus
Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus
3+ years of relevant experience preferred
Completion of Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent preferred
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License preferred
Knowledge of aircraft structures and materials
Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
Possess a basic set of tools
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with shift work in a 24/7 operation (12-hour days, nights, and weekends)
Comfortable working with technology and entering maintenance actions into a computer-based system
Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, if applicable
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
