Summary of the Role 

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Functional Test Technician to perform critical testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft electrical systems and components. In this role, you will help ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of advanced aerospace systems. Your work will directly impact production quality and support the mission of delivering world-class aircraft to customers worldwide. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities 

• Perform functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components. 

• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical systems and avionics components. 

• Assess, document, and analyze test data to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards. 

• Identify production roadblocks or constraints and escalate unresolved issues with clear communication. 

• Provide cross-training and mentorship to teammates to support overall team performance. 

• Follow high standards of safety and regulatory compliance. 

• Work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as required. 

Required Qualifications 

• 1+ year of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing. 

• 1+ year of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials. 

• 1+ year of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical system troubleshooting. 

• 1+ year of experience using software applications such as internet navigation tools, email, Microsoft Suite, or other specialized systems. 

• 1+ year of experience reading and following detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English. 

• Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). 

• Ability to meet physical demands including bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, twisting, standing, climbing, crawling, and crouching. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience testing complex aircraft electrical or avionics systems. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and repair. 

• Experience providing mentorship or cross-training in a production environment.
