Test Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Senior Technician – Test Engineering for an onsite role in Burnsville, Minnesota. As a Senior Technician (T3) – Test Engineering, you’ll support a global Avionics Test Engineering organization responsible for manufacturing test solutions that power a multi-billion-dollar avionics portfolio. Your work will directly enable production, quality, and on-time delivery of cutting-edge sensor products for airlines and armed services worldwide.
Build test hardware and solutions (cables, boxes, racks, fixtures) per engineering drawings
Partner with engineers to create, review, and update test system designs and documentation
Maintain and revise drawings, schematics, BOMs, classifications, and markups
Troubleshoot production issues and perform timely repairs on test solutions
Communicate clearly and collaborate with engineers, operators, and fellow technicians
Support test solutions across multiple lifecycle stages in a fast-paced production setting

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
High school diploma or GED
3–4+ years of relevant hands-on experience
Proven experience building complex cable assemblies, test boxes, racks, or test systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and wire lists
Experience with soldering, crimping, tooling, and adherence to workmanship standards
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
Technical degree (a plus)
Knowledge of Minnesota State Electrical Codes and statutes
Demonstrated mentorship or team leadership experience
