As a File Clerk, you will play a vital part in supporting our Engineering Team by ensuring the accurate scanning, indexing, and organization of both digital and physical records. Your work helps maintain essential documentation that keeps engineering operations running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Scanning & Digital Records (50%)
Prepare inbound documents for scanning
Scan all incoming paperwork daily
Index document batches accurately
File digital paperwork according to established procedures
Adhere strictly to document retention, security, and confidentiality policies
Physical Records Management (25%)
Organize, retrieve, and prepare physical files for storage or secure destruction
Maintain orderly filing systems and support long-term records management
Quality Management (25%)
Audit scanned documents for completeness and clarity
Verify accuracy of indexed data by cross-referencing with physical copies
Help ensure zero-error documentation standards
Additional Duties
Apply labels to parts and assist with miscellaneous filing
Perform other tasks as needed to support the team
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with document scanning and handling digital filing systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Google Workspace
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Familiarity with Flydocs
Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
This is a 100% onsite role with daily activities involving sitting, walking, standing, lifting up to 10 lbs, and operating office equipment. Steel-toed shoes and other PPE may be required for occasional shop-floor visits.
