Material Coordinator
PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Material Coordinator to support high-velocity manufacturing and warehouse operations in San Antonio, TX. As a Material Coordinator, you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across departments to keep production on schedule. Your work directly supports operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery—making you a critical link between supply, production, and shipping.
Coordinate and expedite material flow within and between departments based on production schedules and priorities
Review production schedules and collaborate with supervisors to identify required or overdue materials
Requisition materials and establish delivery sequences aligned to job priorities and availability
Arrange in-plant material transfers to meet production timelines
Verify materials delivered to production areas match specifications
Monitor and control movement of materials and parts
Compute material requirements for specific job orders
Compile inventory reports and maintain production and material records using computerized systems
Move and transport materials using hand trucks or industrial equipment
Support daily operations with part transportation, inventory validation, inventory counts, and system transactions in a warehouse environment
Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (6-month assignment)
Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Starts on 1st shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Must be available and able to work various shifts during the assignment
Pay Rate: $30.16 per hour
Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs; occasional two-person lifts over 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, and material handling
Ability to climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, and in confined spaces
Exposure to noise and industrial environments
Use required personal protective equipment (safety shoes, eye protection, etc.)
Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests
Read, write, and comprehend English
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials as required
Obtain and maintain required training and certifications
Regular and predictable attendance is required
High School diploma or GED
2–3 years of stockroom or crib procedures experience
2–3 years of experience working in a computerized inventory or warehouse management system
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to operate warehouse equipment
Availability to support rotating shifts
