PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Quality Engineer III for a premier partner in Maple Grove. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will shape product reliability, elevate performance, and strengthen the long-term success of advanced electronic technologies.
As a Quality Engineer III, you’ll be at the center of product excellence—guiding quality initiatives from concept through production. You’ll lead quality planning for new technologies, troubleshoot complex issues on existing products, and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Your work directly enhances product integrity, manufacturing performance, and organizational capability.

Champion Customer & Supplier Collaboration
Represent quality as the key customer liaison, ensuring rapid, accurate responses to inquiries and corrective actions.
Partner with suppliers and Supplier Quality teams to maintain high standards and resolve issues proactively.
Drive New Product Excellence
Create robust quality plans using APQP and PPAP tools—FMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, SPC.
Work with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Sales to anticipate risks, optimize processes, and launch products with confidence.
Strengthen Existing Product Performance
Analyze system-level and technical issues to root cause and work cross-functionally to implement solutions.
Lead compliance and qualification efforts for military and medical product lines.
Advance Quality Systems & Documentation
Ensure QA equipment capability and champion improvements or upgrades when needed.
Develop and maintain critical QA documentation, including AS9102-compliant first article reports and internal quality standards.
Lead Audits & Compliance Readiness
Conduct internal audits and support certification audits for AS9100, ISO 13485, Nadcap, and AS9102.
Introduce and refine statistical methods to elevate engineering and production performance.
Own Corrective Action & Technical Leadership
Conduct rigorous root cause investigations and lead corrective/preventive action activities.
Guide daily work for inspection teams and communicate key quality updates to leadership.
Provide technical direction on export classifications, customer configurations, and all program execution requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics.
At least 5 years of experience in electronic assembly manufacturing under AS9100, ISO 9001, or ISO 13485 standards.
Strong proficiency in engineering fundamentals, manufacturing methods, blueprint interpretation, and inspection methodologies.
Experience with electronic troubleshooting, trend analysis, IPC-610/J-STD-001.
Skilled with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and database tools.
Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a drive for results.
Ability to pass required visual acuity and color vision exams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in ISO 13485 and Nadcap environments.
Lean or Six Sigma certification.
Knowledge of military, commercial, or medical specifications.
