Pay Rate: $31.09 to $39.60
Summary of the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Systems Assembler to perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems. In this role, you will help assemble, install, and test critical aircraft components, directly contributing to the safety, quality, and reliability of world-class aerospace products. Your attention to detail and technical skill will ensure every aircraft is built to the highest standards.
What You'll Do
As a Systems Assembler, you'll be hands-on with the essential systems that bring an aircraft to life. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Performing complex assembly and installation of mechanical, structural, and systems components on aircraft.
Installing parts such as landing gear, flight control surfaces, doors, lavatories, galleys, panels, seats, and flooring systems.
Installing hydraulic and pneumatic components including tubing, actuators, valves, compressors, and ducting systems.
Using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, continuity testers) and hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, ratchets, power tools) with precision and safety.
Following detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions in English.
Adhering to a strict production schedule with regular and predictable attendance.
Working flexible shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), depending on production needs.
What You Bring to the Team
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience using hand, power, and pneumatic tools in a mechanical or technical environment.
7+ years of experience installing, assembling, or maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
7+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and blueprints in English.
7+ years of experience with basic software tools including Microsoft Office Suite, email, and web-based applications.
Ability to consistently meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 35 pounds, climbing ladders, crouching, kneeling, overhead reaching, and working with high-hazard materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing or aircraft system integration.
Familiarity with FAA regulations and aviation safety procedures.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
