PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support a global aerospace leader at Joint Base Lewis–McChord, WA. In this role, you will contribute directly to the safety, reliability, and performance of the C-17 Modification Program. Your expertise will help ensure that every product and process meets the highest quality standards in the industry.
As a Quality Systems Specialist, you’ll validate product nonconformance, assess engineering and quality requirements, and ensure that all modification and production plans meet strict regulatory and contractual standards. Your work will directly support the team’s mission to deliver safe, compliant, and mission-ready aircraft.
Review and validate product nonconformance, dispositions, and engineering requirements.
Analyze products, operations, and processes to verify compliance with Quality Management System standards and government regulations.
Review production plans to ensure quality requirements are integrated.
Support modification work by ensuring all plans and execution steps are complete and compliant.
Work variable shifts, with the ability to support both 1st and 2nd shift as needed.
Maintain required certifications, including Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and respirator medical qualifications.
Occasionally work from heights and use fall-protection equipment.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
3+ years of experience in quality assurance.
1+ years reviewing engineering drawings and technical specifications.
3+ years identifying hazardous working conditions and safety issues.
3+ years working with repair, maintenance, or retrofit processes.
1+ years working from heights with fall-protection equipment.
Willingness to work variable shifts, weekends, and overtime.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience or training in Lean Manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with the C-17 platform.
U.S. Army or Air Force maintenance experience.
Experience partnering with military customers to deliver high-quality services and products.
Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of related experience, or
Master’s degree plus 1+ year of related experience, or
7+ years of equivalent, relevant work experience.

Type: Full-Time, Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Joint Base Lewis–McChord, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday; must be able to support both 1st and 2nd shift
Pay Rate Starting : $37.16 per hour
