Engineer Electromechanical
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aerospace leader to hire an experienced Electromechanical Engineer for an exciting long-term opportunity in Melbourne, FL. As an Electromechanical Engineer, you will support next-generation aerospace systems by applying electrical, mechanical, and electronic principles to dynamic components and systems. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, develop, test, and refine electromechanical prototypes and installations that will support critical programs for years to come.
This position plays a key role in ensuring high-quality wiring integration, harness routing, and system functionality—directly contributing to mission-critical aerospace advancements.
• Support the electrical wiring engineering team with design requirements and integration needs
• Route wiring harnesses in a 3D environment following NG standards and AS50881
• Design and release wiring installations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple functions to quickly identify and resolve technical challenges
• Participate in prototype assembly, testing, documentation, and quality validation
• Conduct hands-on work with developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components
• Provide technical recommendations and support manufacturing and production teams
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 4–5 years of electrical cable/wiring harness routing experience on commercial and/or military aircraft
OR
• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Strong oral/written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, MS Project)
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex technical challenges
• STEM degree strongly preferred
• Experience with NX Siemens, Teamcenter Enterprise (TcE), CATIA, or SolidWorks
• Demonstrated innovative thinking and creative problem-solving
• Hands-on experience integrating components into system-level designs
• Experience managing schedules, deliverables, and technical performance
